Royal University of Dhaka organized a meeting on Anti Militancy and Terrorism on 03 September 2016 at the Premier Bank Auditorium, Iqbal Center, Banani. It was participated by the Board of Trustees, teachers, students, employees, media persons and guardians. Hon’ble Vice Chairman, BOT, RUD & Chairman of Premier Bank Dr. H B M Iqbal was the Chief Guest and CEO & Managing Director of Premier Bank Mr. Fazle Rashid was the special guest. The Seminar was chaired by Colonel (Retd) Prof. Md. Mosharrof Hossain, Vice Chancellor (Acting) of RUD. The Chief Guest Dr. H B M Iqbal clearly mentioned that every step Govt. took against Militancy & Terrorism is really noticeable and fruitful and Royal University of Dhaka always follows every instruction very carefully given by UGC and Ministry of Education. He also said very confidently that not a single member of RUD family is involved with the militancy or terrorist activity. A Monitoring Cell against Militancy and Terrorism has also been formed to monitor all Students, Teachers and Employees inside the University. The Chair Colonel (Retd) Professor Md. Mosharrof Hossain in his speech said that Royal University of Dhaka is exercising zero tolerance against Militancy and Terrorism and the authority of RUD is really very much concerned and not a single student could be engaged or covered with the darkness of Terrorism or Militancy activity in RUD and for that he requested the guardian to take proper care and give right attention to their children. The Vice Chancellor of RUD also give some important suggestions to the students, teachers and guardians and he assured the guardian that RUD is totally free from any kind of Militancy activity and committed to provide quality education to our students. The special guest spoke that now a day’s terrorism is a global problem and to remove this problem we all together have to fight against Terrorism. For this, Guardians have to play a vital role because parents are the only person who can make their children’s life peaceful. In the meeting students, teachers and guardians actively participated and committed to save our nation by removing the root of Militancy and Terrorism.
