A seminar was conducted by the Al Quran Academy London, Bangladesh Office on 07 June 2015 at 4:00 pm at RUD Library. The key note speaker was Lt Col (Retd) Md. Shahidullah, Regional Director, South Asia. After his valuable speech Al Quran Academy provided free Quran to all audience as a gift. Colonel (Retd) Prof. Md. Mosharrof Hossain, Vice Chancellor (Acting) introduced the Speaker and thanked the Al Quran Academy for arranging such an educative program regarding the lessons of Quran and values/ responsibilities of Muslim Ummah. Faculty members, officers and students attended the seminar.
Sheiboi, a popular Bangla online ebook store organized a day long demonstration at RUD Students lounge on 07 June 2015. Their aim was to launch a creative writing contest for the university students. The contest would help students to engage with creative activity as well as develop Bangla writing skills.
The City Bank Limited set up a small kiosk at RUD Students lounge to offer their deposit account to the students on 07 & 08 June 2015. They offered their savings account and other services to the students.
Royal University of Dhaka organized a day long voluntary Blood Donation program under arrangement of Quantum Foundation at the university library on 15 June 2015. A total of 23 bags of blood were contributed by the students and officers of the university. The Vice Chancellor (Acting) Colonel (Retd) Prof. Md. Mosharrof Hossain in his inspiring approach highly appreciated the blood donors for responding to such a noble cause of humanity.
A seminar was conducted by HBD Language Academy (A sister concern of HBD Services) regarding “Importance of Learning English for Career Development”. The main objective of that seminar was to gain the proper knowledge on English language for those students who are planning to go abroad for higher studies or looking for attractive job opportunities in multinational corporate culture. Colonel (Retd) Prof. Md. Mosharrof Hossain, Vice Chancellor (Acting), RUD presided over the seminar. Dean, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty members, officers and students attended the seminar.
